Wag This Way Policies
Thank you for considering Wag This Way Small Dog Boarding and Play Dates for yourdog's care! Our goal is to provide a safe, loving, home-away-from-home environment for every guest.
Please review the policies below before requesting services.
1. Rates & Fees
Current rates are available on the website and are confirmed at the time of booking. Rates are subject to change, and any future changes will be communicated before taking effect.
2. Client Account & Scheduling
All clients are required to create and maintain an online account.
Please keep your information current, including:

Emergency contact information

Veterinarian information
-
Vaccination records
-
Medications and care instructions
-
Feeding instructions
-
Behavioral information
All reservations must be requested through the online booking system. A reservation is not confirmed until approved by Wag This Way. For urgent changes or cancellations, please call instead of texting or emailing, as messages may not be seen immediately.
3. Payment
A valid credit card is required to remain on file.
Payment is processed after services are completed unless other arrangements have been made.
Cash and checks are not accepted.
4. Communication
Messages are monitored throughout the day.
Messages received after 7:00 PM Monday through Friday are typically returned the following business day.
Messages received after 5:00 PM Saturday are generally returned on Monday.
Sunday messages are answered as needed for reservations beginning the following day.
5. Meet & Greet
A complimentary Meet & Greet is required for all new boarding and Play Date clients.
This allows us to meet, discuss your dog's routine and personality, and determine if Wag This Way is the right fit for your family.
A Meet & Greet does not guarantee acceptance for services.
6. Health & Vaccination Requirements
For the safety of all dogs in my care, dogs must:

Be current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations.

Be free of contagious illnesses.

Be healthy enough to participate in a small group environment.
Wag This Way reserves the right to decline or discontinue services if a dog appears ill or may pose a health risk.
7. Boarding Cancellations
For non-holiday boarding reservations:

Cancellations made two (2) days or more before the scheduled arrival date: No charge.

Cancellations made less than two (2) days before the scheduled arrival date: 25% cancellation fee.

Same-day cancellations or no-shows may be charged a 50% cancellation fee at the discretion of Wag This Way.
Reservations of 15 consecutive days or longer require a 25% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The deposit will be applied toward the remaining balance and reserves your dog's space.
8. Early Returns & Reservation Changes
If your trip ends earlier than planned, the final scheduled night of boarding will still be charged.
Changes that reduce reserved boarding days may be subject to cancellation fees based on the timing of the change.
9. Peak Holiday Policies & Surcharges
Holiday periods are high-demand times with limited availability.
A $10 Peak Holiday Surcharge per household, per day applies to all boarding and Play Date reservations during the following Peak Holiday Periods:

Memorial Day Weekend: Saturday through Monday

Independence Day: Holiday date and surrounding weekend days, as applicable, based on the calendar year

Labor Day Weekend: Saturday through Monday

Thanksgiving Holiday Period: Sunday before Thanksgiving through the Sunday after Thanksgiving

Christmas/New Year's Holiday Period: Sunday before Christmas through the Sunday after New Year's Day
The Peak Holiday Surcharge applies whether your household has one dog or multiple dogs.
Peak Holiday Period dates may vary slightly each calendar year based on the actual holiday calendar.
Peak Holiday Cancellations
The following Peak Holiday Periods require at least 14 days' notice for cancellations:
● Thanksgiving Holiday Period
● Christmas/New Year's Holiday Period
Cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled arrival date may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
10. Play Date Cancellations
Because Play Date spaces are limited:

Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled reservation: No charge.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled reservation: $10 late cancellation fee per dog.

No-shows may be charged the full Play Date rate.
11. Boarding & Play Date Hours
Drop-off and pick-up are by appointment only.
For boarding guests:

Pick-up is included until 2:00 PM on the final day of boarding.

Pick-ups after 2:15 PM and before 9:00 PM will be charged the current Play Date rate.

Pick-ups after 9:15 PM will be charged an additional overnight boarding fee.
Please notify Wag This Way as soon as possible if your travel plans change.
12. Your Dog's Safety & Behavior
Please provide complete and accurate information about your dog's health, medications, behavior, and routine so I can provide the safest and best care possible.
Please disclose any history of aggression, biting, resource guarding, or behaviors that may present a safety concern.
Wag This Way reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a dog's behavior creates a safety concern.
13. Personal Belongings
While every effort is made to care for your dog's belongings, Wag This Way cannot be responsible for items that become lost or damaged during your dog's stay.
14. Photos & Social Media
I love sharing special moments! Unless requested otherwise, photos or videos of your dog may be used on the Wag This Way website or social media.
15. Privacy
Client information is kept confidential and only shared when necessary to provide services, obtain emergency veterinary care, or as required by law.
16. Policy Updates
Policies may be updated from time to time. Any significant changes affecting future services will be communicated in advance.
